Puget Sound Fall Conference 2017
Come for a weekend away to deepen friendships and make new ones! We'll be joining with other students from around the Puget Sound in musical worship and learning more about what it means to be made well in the image of God.
SPEAKER: DREW JACKSON
Originally born in Williamstown, NJ, Drew studied Political Science at the University of Chicago, and went on to gain his M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. During his seminary years Drew worked as full-time staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in the Greater Los Angeles area, serving at Occidental College .
Drew is currently in the process of planting a church in Lower Manhattan in the East Village neighborhood, which will officially launch in spring 2018. He is also the Co-Founder and Executive Director of TR-BE, an organization whose mission is to resource and train local churches and the next generation to confront racially unjust systems and seek reconciliation through the lens of the gospel. He has spoken extensively on college campuses and at churches about God’s heart for the reconciliation of all things, and our call to partner with God in this work. He is blessed to share life with his wife Genay, and their twin daughters, Zora and Suhaila
WORSHIP LEADER: MEGAN MOTONAGA
Born and raised in Maui, HI, Megan moved to Seattle in 2009 to earn her Bachelors of Science in Public Health from the University of Washington. She finished her undergraduate degree in 2015 and is currently a graduate student at Seattle Pacific University, working towards completing her Masters of Arts in Teaching in hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher.
Megan first got involved with InterVarsity during her freshman year of college. As she became more and more involved with the Multiethnic InterVarsity chapter, she quickly found herself facilitating small group bible studies and leading worship in a variety of contexts. Throughout her time in the ministry, she developed a deep desire and passion for reflecting God and God’s Kingdom more fully through musical worship.
Megan loves to run, hike, longboard and go on foodventures. She enjoys all things creative and is constantly seeking out new creative avenues for self expression.
